Re: Ashes 3rd Test - Thursday July 6-Monday July 10, Headingley

Since the Bairstow drop and root dropped slips catch , England have bowled inconsistently in this middle session. Marsh has creamed anything full, his playing really well for his 73 not out so far.

Travis Head is quietly accumulating at the other end

Rin rate is 4..27 am over after 44 overs

Marsh run-a-ball century with proper cricket shots. Haven't seen a lap sweep, a ramp, a reverse sweep or any other funky shot.

Powerful innings. Aussies simply have too much talent and depth for the Poms.

Unreal innings by Marsh. Shame that Starc or Cummins couldn't hang around.

I'm sure Bairstow can play, but it feels like every time I've ever seen him batting he looks like everyone's bunny.

He's a decent batsman and below average keeper.
Marsh getting a wicket was handy.

Cam Green watching Mitch Marsh ram himself into MOTM contention.

He's not part of Sandpaper Steve's gang so he will be dropped next game.
You only have to look at the fact Warner is still playing whilst Bancroft scored the most shield runs by 300 or so.

Hmm. That's actually pretty compelling evidence.

This is the most gripping Ashes series since 2005.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

You do realise my comment was on the disappointment of Warner going cheaply again, and nothing to do with the above.
