Bangladesh need to win in order for Australia to progress. Currently Rain delayed.
They also need to not win too quickly for Australia to progress or they can surpass our net run rate. With the rain it's getting complicated!

Australia favourites to go through at the moment. Bangladesh needed to get the total in 12.1 overs, which doesn't seem like it's happening, but they should get the win from here.

36 to get with 5 wickets in hand.

Just tuned in. 16 of 18, two wickets left. I hope Afghanistan can do it for their sake.

9 off 8. Last wicket stand. Crap format, but nice finish.

What a finish! and to finish it with an LBW that cannot be any more plum than that, well done to the Afghans, absolutely deserve it.

And that's the end of that.

                      Pretty dubious collapse.

That massive noise was the entire nation of South Africa letting out a huge sigh of relief at avoiding another semi final disaster against Australia.

Time for the entire Australian selection committee to resign, as well as the Australian Cricket Board who appointed them.

Pretty interesting tactics used by the Afghans when trying to slow play due to rain as they were slightly ahead for the DL system, coach Trott desperately signals from the fence to slow play waving his arms, to then first slip being shot in the leg (leg cramp) falling to the ground stopping play, they went off for rain anyway, spirit of the game? uuum 10000000000% nope.

Mature performance by Afghanistan, slowed the play down and really strangled the Bangladesh. Good luck to them.

                              Does anyone care about this?

I mean, Bangladesh v Afghanistan could almost be the punchline to a joke.

Both Afghanistan and Bangladesh have been building for a while now and have risen above Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka with Scotland not far behind, that is off course in the short form of the game, i'm not really a T20 fan either but it's certainly for myself more enjoyable than the local BBL which i personally couldn't care less about.

Does anyone care? there were Afghan fans in the crowd crying, reckon their nation might.
