Of course he's a champ. He won 4 group ones as a three year old, and another 3 (so far) as a four year old carrying 58 kgs or over.

Sat three wide into a strong breeze with no cover on Saturday and was drawn in the grandstand.

Too early to write off the champ.
Time to write the Hussler off now. Struggles with anything over 1800m. It had every chance today and couldn't run out the trip.

I'll give him some chance for the Cox Plate, as for the Melbourne Cup though, you're right, pull him out now. Ross MacDonald would be kidding himself if he sent him to the Melbourne Cup now.

          FACT.

I was at Caulfield working for the old man (who's a bookie) and he agrees - best horse he has seen in 50 years and he's seen some ultra-stars.

It will start 1.80 or shorter in the Cox plate and will win it easily. Such a classy horse, and just responds every time.
          Weekend Who ??

Cox Plate would still be too long for him at the moment.

The horse needs a rest (if he doesn't need a rest, don't ever run him over more than a mile).

It will be Weekend Mortadella soon.
(they used to make that pressed smallgood from horses)

He'll get it too, according to the H/S. Pulled up lame after the Caulfield Cup and will be spelled.

He can run 1800 metres, he's shown that much, I reckon he'd be ok for another crack at 2000m next year.

What distance is the Australian Cup run over?
