When you think how can we loose the match without it being too obvious? The answer becomes bowl White and Hussey when we get on top.

    Not serious though

If it's not a blunder what is it? Unless it was team policy he has no excuse for not bowling a real bowler.

        Lets be honest....

I could be the most successful captain ever with the team he was gifted.

Slow over rate, trying to speed things up a bit, trying to save his own behind, and also not wanting a fine?

Mark Taylor & Steve Waugh were also blessed with having a great team under them, more so Waugh, how many series did they win in India?

Yeah i know. But that shouldn't matter compared to winning the match. So the only acceptable (sort of) excuse is it was team policy.

Um. Ponting has never won a series in India.

Adam Gilchrist was acting captain when they finally won it.

Everyone knows that Punter is a fine batsmen, but I doubt, even with his record, that anyone would claim he's one of the better captains around. When his career is over he will not be rated in the best five captains Australia's ever had. With his incredible win-loss record, that's saying something.
