SS, wasn't one of your gripes that he slays sub-par attacks on flat wickets but has rarely stood up when it's really counted or when the side's been under pressure? Throwing his wicket away yesterday when Australia were still more than 40 runs behind and had just lost Hayden was as irresponsible as I've ever seen a senior opening batsman play (after Hayden).
That said, everyone threw away their wickets yesterday or just weren't good enough. The commentators were just saying how flat the wicket was when Duminy and Steyn were batting, and then Australia come out and get bowled out quick-smart, and the commentators are saying that the wicket is coming apart, and then SA go in today and they lose one wicket in getting 180-odd runs and the wicket's 'flat' again. What, so the wicket changes character on alternating days?
The most annoying thing about this loss is that Australia threw the game away. Just threw it away.
