We haven't had an Australian singles male stick with it since Cash.
Imagine what Rafter would have been if he had Cash's fire.
And after all that, how many GS titles did Cash win?

Only the biggest major of all.
And what has that got to do with it.
All I stated is Rafter would have been a better player and survived longer if he had Cash's fight.
I nver said Cash was better than Rafter.
      Although it can be argued.

        Did Haddin cheat?? YES!
How is this bloke getting a game, he fumbles when keeping, he has made a few runs but what keepers wouldnt have nowadays, and he cheats.
They had him first drop yesterday against NZ, where the hell did that come from?
Crossthwaite is a way better prospect than Haddin in one dayers.
Enthusiastic, very quick and will give 100%, also will invent shots, a lot more speed and energy than Haddin.
To me Haddin is more the Healy type keeper batsman, nowdays you need something more akin to Gilchrist.

          Yeah he's the answer.

What exactly do you mean 'someone more like Gilchrist'?
Does he have to open because that's Ronchi
Does he have to be able to smash it because Ronchi, Haddin and Crosthwaite fit that bill.

I'd say in temrs of being like Gilchrist you'd want Ronchi or Haddin. Crosthwaite just hits at the end while the other two can bat up the order at domestic level at the very least.

haha very true. Although in these cases you'd hope that people playing sport professionally would know what to expect. They are traveling to another country and need to adapt to the culture of that country. This should work both ways too, with Aussies toning it down when they go to certain countries.

I think as i said Crossthwaite will invent shots and is more energetic as Gilchrist was.
As far as where we bat the keeper, i dont think any either Haddin or Crossy could bat up that high as Gilchrist did.
Go back to batting our keeper down the order and finding proper hitting batsman to open or bat up the order if thats what the selectors are looking for.
Haddin to me keeping wise has been horrid.
No one is going to be as good as Gilly was up the order.
Guess i am just saying Crossthwaite is a better keeper, faster on his feet, more enthusiastic and whats wrong with batting the keeper at 7 and letting them go for it?

Haddin is not up to test level, his keeping is a shocker.

Nothing. Just asserting what exactly you were after in terms of the keeper.

Well he's definitely doing a job with the bat today.
