How long until he goes away again? Sports talkback is at frenzy levels and I was sick of the topic by 9.15 this morning. I like golf but I cant handle this. This is way too OTT I reckon.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
I don't agree. This guy is one of the greatest ever to play the game and deserves all the hype he gets. I enjoyed the 60minutes interview with him last night. Considering he still has 20 years of top level Golf in front of him(baring serious injury) it's hard to imagine what his tally of Majors is going to end up like.
Packed his clubs on Saturday because he's convinced he's playing with Tiger (then had to take them back out again when he realised he can't play with them while they're in the boot of the car).
25,000 tickets sold to the practice day, my bloke is going to be shattered when he gets there tomorrow and can't see a thing.
He is teeing off at about 8am on Thursday. I would be getting there as early as possible and setting up camp at the 3rd or 4th hole and then wait for Tiger to come to you.
After he leaves you are then free to go watch some of the others in action.

Thanks Mantis!

I admire the guy for what he has achieved, and the professionalism with which he appears to carry himself. As for the sport as a whole, and the "Drop everything, Tiger's coming" frenzy, I couldn't care less.
Yawn, indeed.

You gotta admit the guy has charisma and its a big boom for Golf, which hasn't happened for a long time.

I am not into golf, but it's good to see the big names come down this way, such as Lance Armstrong last year, if it gets kids excited to go see the likes of Tiger in the flesh, it gets them out & off playstations, and an excuse for the "older kids" to say, "just taking the kids out love".
There was nowhere near as many people as I expected and the young bloke and I had uninterupted views most of the time.
It was pretty hot but the young bloke kepton going and is well and truely looking for bed already.
The only downer was the parking. Park off Warrigul Rd and get to the course the best you can, just don't go looking for a shuttle bus! Just what a 5yo needs after walking around a golf course for a couple of hours in the sun is a 20 minute walk back to the car.
I see Tiger tees off on Thursday at 7.30am from the 10th hole. He's playing with Rod Pampling & Western Bulldogs supporter Craig Parry.
None that are any good. Daniel had our little digital and took a few shots but we needed a decent lens, all his pictures look like we were 100 yards away.
