He's quality but really he's still the 5th bowler. If Hauritz's value deteriorates as the match progresses and can't take wickets on the 4th or 5th day we may as well have a seamer as he would be a higher quality player than Hauritz.

When Hilfenhaus comes back we'll have to drop Siddle or Bollinger. Both these players are much more dangerous so if Hauritz can't fill his role I'd go with both the quicks.

I just think it would be overkill playing 5 quicks and we would struggle to give them enough overs each to justify it. Having Bollinger, Johnson, Siddle and Hilfenhaus all fit and in form at the same time is going to be a luxury that I can't see happening all the time. Trying to find and develop a decent spinner should be a priority.
      The curse is dead.

With 5 quicks or 4 plus Watson we would struggle in a big way to complete the minimum overs each day.

          Good point. Didn't consider that.

Hey, I'm all for that. If it's not a priority then I'd be really worried.

They had a few years to find a spinner and bring one up to take over from Warne but doesnt look like they really worried about it until "oh shit Warnes retired what do we do now"
Not so much the selectors fault but maybe the cricket academy.

That's not quite true. They thought they would have MacGill for 2 years and that they would also have the likes of Casson and McGain as additional support before another one would come through. As it is Hauritz and Krejza should be able to hold the fort until the likes of Holland and Smith are ready.
