Take two #5's, Larry Bird & Lebron James, Now Lebron would wipe the floor with Bird in almost every individual category of the game.
"Wipe the floor" in every category except rebounding, 3 point shooting, free throw shooting, leadership and ability to perform under pressure.

Lebron has him covered in dunks, blocks and steals. That's about it.

We'll call passing a break-even, despite Lebron almost playing the point most of his career, whilst Bird had DJ and Tiny Archibald doing the bulk of the ball carrying duties in his career.

Lebron really is an excellent passer of the ball and I'd have him well above Bird for that however I won't claim to have watched Bird passing the ball a lot so he may be better than I give him credit for.

The rest is 100% spot on. 3's, FT's, leadership and pressure performances is the Bird trademark.

No, No, No. Sorry. I did mean up against one another, in a man v man situation. I was trying to prove the old point where Bird would get beat in a game of one on one, but slaughter anyone in team ball. Even MJ.

Watch a Bird game and you'd retract the "I'd have him well above Bird" statement.
This goes back to the whole "makes the people around him better" statement I was trying to make.

Alter the game, notice Mo is cold, bring someone else into the game?
I'm sure in all the Laker, Celtic, Bulls, series that went on, McHale, Worthy, Pippen etc had bad runs. Legends will find ways around that. Maybe it wont be a sweep but they'll win four of the games.

Now LJ is potentially testing the Free Agency market again... Bloody Hell it's going to get epic!

I am no way a basket ball fan, so I have no idea how the rules work but... There is speculation he is exploring free agency so he can stay with the Heat on a reduced wage so they can get another player via free agency...

Why can't he just sign for less cash?

Because he has a player option for his final year. So he could have stayed on that and made $20M or choose to opt out and renegotiate/go elsewhere. When Bosh, Wade and James all signed they all pretty much signed the same contract. Bosh and Wade have a player option in their final year as well.

Anthony has been rumored to join them next year with James, Wade and Bosh so that is why people are thinking he's taking less money. I personally think he's going somewhere else. Don't really care to be honest. The guy is a tosser!

Reports today that LeBron will be ruled an unrestricted free agent. The free agency window opens Sunday, so it's going to be a very interesting decision for him again #LeBronDecides

Pretty narrow range of possibilities, rough chances of each
                      Lakers -65%
                      Cavs-30%
                      76ers - 5%
Anything else would be a massive surprise but there’s hardly any real options with cap space.

What sort of salary would he command?
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Very unlikely. He’ll take the max available.
But there’s not many teams with the cap space available to offer it to him. Plus if he leaves Cleveland it will almost certainly be to live in LA, who will then almost certainly end up signing Paul George or trading for Kawhi Leonard or both.

So it will be more of a lifestyle thing? I'm trying to understand why he only seems to sign with a team for a year at a time.
