Looking forward to it ... still unsure as to where the Heat are going to be playing their home games. They used to play at Belmont Park, but that is now a housing estate.
Went and watched them at the WACA once ... boring as ... the crowd was too removed from the play.
Fantastic news about ONE HD covering some of the games

The Melbourne Aces are proud to announce the seating configuration for the Melbourne Showgrounds.
I went down to the old city square for the launch. Obviously being a lower level sport there wasn't a lot of people around and it was a bit half-arsed, to be honest. Nicole Livingston hosted and was fine apart from when she followed up the GM's speech by re-reading it (apparently she had the speech on her running sheet too). Peter Moylan was interviewed and is technically on the Aces roster although he said he wouldn't pitch until January...if he was at full pitching strength. They introduced the team individually even though the best players are only playing A ball in the US and are basically anonymous, and Huber the best known player was in Sydney for the league launch.
The uni's are ok (and the logo is way better than Sydney or Brisbane's which are woeful) although the only difference between home and away is white pants vs grey pants.
Tom Scully made an appearance in an Aces jersey although in his interview he admitted knowing very little about baseball...umm, great.
Other than this, I've actually got a pretty positive feeling about the league. The backing of the MLB is huge and the venue should be good and is pretty well located. Looking forward to it.

Because it's a forum and everyone has an opinion, and even if different to yours is allowed to express it.

And because baseball, like basketball, is poo.
Hopefully I can get into politics and pass legislation where people are banned from having opinions, because most people don't deserve them.
You know what they say opinions are like. I'm surrounded by opinions.
