some pretty unbelievable statements in here.
So it has been 19 no-balls to 7 over the course of a 5 test series - goes to show how much the game has changed. Patrick Patterson would have bowled 19 no-balls on his own in a single innings during the 88-89 test series.

Smith was selected as a specialist number 7 batsman? 94 overs gone and he hasn't come on yet.

                We are a joke!!

I hope we get beat by an innings such that the selectors get the 'lemon and sars' and we start to re-build.

England are an improving side and have played some good cricket, but they are no where the best team going around and we have been embarrassed.

Good old Mitch Johnson, so uterly predictable. I just made $100 off a mate, I bet $10 at 10/1 he'd get knocked over first ball- Kaching!

Rain may wipe out the last day.

What a useless bunch of cricketers.

                        Time to rebuild and quickly.

England are pretty good and still improving. Will be interesting to see them come up against India in the next 12 months.

I saw yesterday that Cook is now the 2nd youngest player to reach 5000 test runs - behind Tendulkar. Of course, it helps that we bowl to his strengths.

I wouldn't even call us a team at the moment. We really are just 11 individuals going out there to try and be a hero.

Yes, because Hodgey (even now), Whitey and D.Huss would have performed worse than any of Hughes, Clarke, North, Smith etc.? If pushing names of players who are PROVEN first-class performers over a decade and who will have stopped the embarassment that is now Australian test cricket is being repetitive, then I stand guilty.

But nevermind, three innings defeats in a series is all fine and dandy. Let the Hughes and Smiths go on their merry way. Victoria would trash this so-called Test team.
