I couldn't move for the first 10 min of the TT, but as the time kept coming down I felt at ease.

I reckon I would have destroyed the place if he fell.

Im not an Austrailian but over the years I have noticed how when Australians decide to ,make a mark on a sport they do..examples.. Americas cup, TDF, soccer, cricket, swimming, basketballers, baseballers,gridiron, quite a sporting nation.

Have been in the sporting wilderness this weekend with friends who aren't interested in sport at all (???) so only just heard this news this afternoon! Fantastic, and I wish I could have stayed up and watched it! Congratulations to a real champion sportsman - yippeee!

Just a tremendous achievement by Cadel especially considering how hard he had to push himself throughout the last few sessions.
That time trail was exceptional.

He could have won the time trial but his team manager said to take it easy at the end so he doesn't have an accident or anything.
