    I would definately buy it!

No mention of the last game you umpired, what a memorable game it was between Australia and England at Melbourne on 26 December to 30 December 1982, a remarkable match won by England by 3 runs only after a valiant 10th wicket partnership of 70 runs between Allan Border and Jeff Thomson was ended by a juggled catch.
    One of the great games.

I think I finally got over it about a month ago

15,000 people came into the ground on the last day carrying Eskys. The game could have been over in one ball but they were not deterred.

It was an unbelievable result wasnt it? That catch-I think it was Geoff Cook who dropped it at slip only for Botham to run behind him and catch-just goes to prove that cricket is the kingof all games. Especially test cricket, test match cricket is unique because of the three result system, win, lose or draw means that the game is never, ever over until that final wicket falls or the winning run is hit.

Just as an aside I was there for every day and as the Australian openers came out to bat the ground announcer helpfully pointed out that we'd be able to tell Dyson and Wessells apart by the fact that one was wearing a cap and one was wearing a helmet. One of my mates turned to me and said "Geez, thanks Captain Obvious-one's a right hander and one's a left hander"
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Allan Border 124 vs India MCG 1980/81

I remember going to day two, it was a slow old day and I only hung on to the end to see Border get his century and to my dismay (and the crowds), he finished the day on 95.

I like the umpire referral when he went out.

                Beat me to it.

                Botham was the bowler.

Suprisingly I used to be very good at recalling things like that. My memory has turned to crap over the last couple of years. I do remember Tim Lane saying on the radio that for the first time in two and a half days Australia were favorites to win the match as Botham was running in to bowl the last ball.

It was Dyson and Wessells who opened for Australia though. Wasnt it?

Thommo should have shouldered arms to that one.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Yep, typical tailender, no idea where his off stump is. They love to fish for the ball even in defence, just look at Siddle in South Africa a couple of years ago when Johnson was trying to get his maiden test century, he got caught behind fishing at 2 balls in a row! In fairness Thomo had been superb until then.

Absolutely and the problem was that he believed he was seeing it alright. Beefy wasn't quick but he had a beautiful off-cutter and that one deviated just enough. Still, it pitched way outside off.

I couldn't see a thing once the ball passed the pads so I asked Mel whether it was clean. He walked towards Border to repair the wicket and Border asked what was happening to which Mel replied, "Piss off you're out bowled." Funny man, Mel.
