You have to wait until 11pm to see Friday night games on Foxtel as they're Channel 9 games. And there is no way Channel 9 will show NRL into Melbourne at a decent time on a Friday night, even on one of their secondary channels. We absolutely saturated their facebook page for the round 25 game last year Manly v Storm. It was a Friday night game, 2nd V 1st, sold out at Brookvale and they still wouldn't show it before midnight into Melbourne. They are idiots & the sooner the new television rights come up the better.

And re. yesterdays game - Billy is a gun, I really hope Cooper Cronk stays and GO STORM!!

What a breathtaking win and Billy - no words can describe. I think until you see Storm live and literally "feel the excitement" when Billy gets anywhere near the ball, you don't realise just how great he is! GO STORM!

It just won't rate, so you can understand why they won't show it at prime time on a friday night.

Well how will they know if it'll rate if they don't show it until midnight? State of Origin is shown live into Melbourne and rates very well. If they're worried about ratings, they should try it on Gem or Go! first to see what happens.

Maybe not on the main channel but as Suz said there's nothing stopping them from showing it on GEM.

I take that back, there is something stopping them, its the utter contempt that Nine and the NRL have for fans of Rugby League in this town.

Yes, but pretty typical of Channel 9 too. We have a Sunday 3pm game in Cronulla in May. It will be interesteing to see if thay show that live into Melbourne.

It may still be a few weeks away, guides still showing other shows for this Friday at this stage. I think it's good that Melbournians can see all three games each week, not just the Storm games. I'm more likely to watch an NRL game than a non Bulldogs AFL game (which is most weeks) on a Friday night.

Cooper Cronk has called a press conference for tomorrow morning. Media speculation is rife that he's going to announce he's leaving the Melbourne Storm at season's end.
