Re: EPL/UEFA Manager Movement
. Very happy
with this.
Moyles to Spurs doesn't make much sense to me as at Everton he can pretty much do what he wants(on a pretty strict budget) and they love him, while Spurs really aren't that much of a bigger club and Levy is meant to be hard to work for. Fair chance Bale, VDV and definitely Modric will be following 'arry out the door. The curse is dead.Comment

Harry Redknapp leaves Tottenham Hotspur manager's job
Harry Redknapp has left Tottenham after almost four years in charge.
Veteran manager Redknapp, who was heavily linked with the England job before the Football Association opted for Roy Hodgson, had denied speculation that he had resigned on Tuesday.
The 65-year-old had a year left on his contract but reportedly failed to agree a new deal with chairman Daniel Levy.

Beat me too it. Very happy
with this.
Moyles to Spurs doesn't make much sense to me as at Everton he can pretty much do what he wants(on a pretty strict budget) and they love him, while Spurs really aren't that much of a bigger club and Levy is meant to be hard to work for. As for Harry leaving, there are real similarities in what happened with Rocket to what happened with Harry. In both cases they (their managers) pushed the boards for an ultimatum on their last year and in both cases the guarantee was refused to be given. Spurs will lose Modric this season, possibly Bale and Adebayor's loan will see him back at City and there are question marks over VDV, 4 key guys who are a big reason Spurs finished fourth.
Not getting CL football has cost the club something like £30m in sponsorship, tv revenues and merchandise sales. The end of season slump, effectively means that Spurs go from being able hold onto the 4 guys mentioned and strengthen, to having to offload at least 1 in order to balance the books. Harry, is not the manager capable of rebuilding and developing a squad. His success (portsmouth FA Cup) was based on buying in good players or loaning on high wages. He simply isn't the man to keep Spurs moving forward.
As for who replaces him, your guess is as good as mine - Moyes is a quality candidate, but I don't see him moving just yet. The United job is a bigger prize and the expectations at Spurs will be too much of a risk;
Martinez - yes he plays a "Spurs Style" and yes he has again saved Wigan from relegation, but what everyone seems to forget is that he was the manager in charge who managed them into a relegation position.
AVB - interesting one. He was given a mandate at Chelsea and then 9 months later sacked for pursuing that mandate. I'm not convinced though that he has the man management skills to manage at the highest level. I think he presents too much of a risk.
Rafa Benitez - good manager, but really he benefitted from a Liverpool team put together by Houlier and when the purse strings tightened failed. Can't see him getting the job.
Capello - too rigid for English football. It worked in old school Italy, but not in the UK. I just can't see a guy like Bale or Lennon actually gelling with him.
de Boer - PSV manager and my pick. I like Dutch maangers, because they are technically adept, but play with flair. Not a great deal of experience, but as an ex-Barca boy he has good contacts on the continent and is tactially strong.Comment

Re: EPL/UEFA Manager Movement
Fair enough, they seem pretty similar to me(didn't mean to offend, if I did). Both clubs have rich histories and a similar size support with the Spurs being the wealthier of the two.The curse is dead.Comment
