Froome will (based on last years Vuelta), has to be some doubt on Wiggins.

Regardless Evans is going to need help from his team in the mountains which I can't see happening.

Very difficult if not impossible for Cadel after last night.

Saw an aspect of the 'tacks on the road' story that I hadn't already, Wiggins slowing his team down so that Cadel was not disadvantaged.

        Respect.

Massive respect - I have even more appreciation for Wiggins now.

Frank Schleck is leaving the tour due to a positive test for diuretic. Frank is claiming he wants to see his sample b as he denies taking any substances.

If this is found proven it will be shattering for the sport and will put his brother under a massive cloud.

It's not a steroid, though, just a diaretic and the penalty is fairly mild.

He hasn't been kicked out of the tour, he's pulled out by choice. Drug cheats get booted.

Didn't S.K. Warne get 12 months for using a diuretic?

I thought its banned cos it's a masking agent. Is the only other reason you'd use a deiretic is for weight loss?

Pretty much, most commonly used in sport to flush other drugs from the system.

The report I heard said it was simply weight loss. A masking agent is considered just as bad as a steroid.

It may've been used for weight loss in that particular instance. Yes, masking agents are a no-no, basically an admission that you're taking something else that you shouldn't be taking.

I fairly sure this diuretic can be used as a masking agent.
More of an In Bruges guy?

yeah, I agree, the challenges have been p...weak. I thought Nibali would have challenged more, but unlike Sky, his team is not strong. Good to see Tejay right up there, a star of the future.

Can't stand Wiggo, but unfortunately no one else to beat him. Froome is really the winner if he was allowed to be.
