    Re: 2012-13 EPL Thread

We are expected to win at home against Wigan but it will be interesting to see how we go without Rooney and Van Persie in the team and how our defence goes because they have been leaky in the last 2 matches and that needs to improve.

Looking forward to Saturday night, there's always a little extra feeling in the game when we play QPR. Also interested to see if Anton shakes Cole's hand.

        EPL Results from Overnight

        Norwich 0-0 West Ham
        Stoke 1-1 Man City
        QPR 0-0 Chelsea
        Man Utd 4-0 Wigan
        Fulham 3-0 West Brom
        Aston Villa 2-0 Swansea
        Arsenal 6-1 Southampton
        Sunderland 1-1 Liverpool

Great win for us against Wigan with all our goals coming in the 2nd half after we were 0-0 at half time. Also very happy we got our first clean sheet for the season. This win puts us in 2nd position on 9 points only a point behind top of the table Chelsea.

Defence wise it was our best start to a season since 1924. It's a pity that Wojciech Scesny dropped that lob into the area on saturday that let Fox score. Still I'm happy with a 8-1 goal difference after four games.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Oscar looks like he's going to be a star, looks like we have found our number 10 for the next 10 years at least.

Nice to see Lukaku scoring the winner for WBA while on loan, hopefully he rejoins Chels in January and gets some playing time up forward to continue his development.

Hoping we can keep our winning streak going and beat Liverpool tonight. It won't be an easy especially at Anfield but I'm confident we will get at least a point as Liverpool have been in very bad form.

The Saints finally crack their EPL duck. Lambert is a scoring machine.

                                EPL Results - Round 5

                                Sunday Games

                                Liverpool 1-2 Man. United
                                Newcastle 1-0 Norwich
                                Man. City 1-1 Arsenal
                                Tottenham 2-1 QPR

Very good win for us coming from behind at Anfield against Liverpool. Gerrard scored first to put Liverpool 1-0 until in the 2nd half we scored with goals coming from R. Silva and a Van Persie penalty. We stay 2nd on 12 points behind Chelsea who are on top with 13 points.
