Dhoni is one of the worst captains in world cricket right now. He is so bad tactically, he couldn't even match wits with Alistair Cook in India 15 months ago. NZ were effectively 5/6 at the start of today's play and he spread the field far and wide after about 15 minutes - reactive, defensive, and passive captain.
    He bowled well though....

What about his ingenious work in the first dig.
Tim Southee ( can't play pace, loves spin) first over after tea he brings Jadeja on.
Bowls one over gets plonked all over the field. Takes him off after his one over, and brings the quicks on .
Gets his wicket. Pure genius that bloke!!
      He gets how much money?

Brendon McCullum became the latest member of the elite 300 club and the first New Zealander to reach the triple Test century landmark Tuesday in a heroic match-saving innings against India.

McCullum hit 195 off 134 balls in the NZ vs SL test match today. Caught on the boundary just short of a 6 - which would've made it the fastest double ton by 19 balls.

Also BM is on 32 sixes in the calendar year so far, 10 ahead of Gilchrist a decade ago.

Seems to have stepped it up a notch!

McCullum is in a rare vain of form .
The kiwis are playing well, and it would be nice if we could play them for a change.
Getting little tired of playing the same countries

It's those huge bats they use. Dave Warner's looks like it's got half a baseball bat nailed to the back of it.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Vettori retires and now Kyle Mills. Some big changes for NZ.

What a servant Vettori has been. Gave his all and got the best out of himself. Well done.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Good series currently happening between NZ and England. NZ let the first test slip from their grasp (some excellent batting by Root and Stokes in England's 2nd Innings). NZ on top in the 2nd test, however due to inclement weather a draw is the most likely outcome with NZ needing 10 wickets on the final day (England did manage 10 wickets on the last day in the first test - it is doable)

Williamson looks to be a class bat for the Black Caps (think he currently has the highest test average of any NZ bat - having played over 20 tests).

England are flakey enough to lose ten wickets in a session.
