Hard fought win by the Storm in ( Rainy Melbourne)
The obstruction non try was an absolute joke of a decision.
Bulldogs have a few big names out , but the Storm have played 3 games in 11 days all around the country.
Even Phil Gould thought the non try decision was a disgrace

It was a fair effort by the Storm. You could see that in the last 10 minutes they were running out of steam and on their last legs. They have had a tough 4 weeks considering they have played in Leeds (sub-zero temperatures) followed 2 weeks later by 35 degree heat in Melbourne; then 30 degree humidity in Townsville and then a 5 day turnaround to play against Canterbury.

In this period they have not lost a game and in fact haven't looked like losing (except maybe the last 5 minutes last night). Really it is a sensational effort.

So true. A really tough start to the season. At least we get an 8 day break now before heading up to Brisbane to play the Friday Night Broncos.

I also thought the 'obstruction' no try was a joke. As Craig Bellamy said in the press conference, they'd better be very consistent with this ruling from now on or they'll be hearing about it from Storm.

I'm also not happy with Billy Slater being put on report. Rule number one of Rugby League - you do not tackle or interfere with the player who is in the air. Rule number 2 of Rugby League - you do not tackle or interfere with the player who is in the air.

The NRL has ruled Billy's contact accidental & he doesn't have a case to answer. Pity the Bulldogs scored straight after the reversed penalty. It totally changed the game.

Didn't it though - Suz32 - was watching at home and yelling so loud at the ref I'm surprised you didn't hear me over the other side of the city (we are near Williamstown)! It has been a tough few weeks for the boys, but they are doing very well considering. Can't wait for Proctor and Sisa to come back from injury - also missed the Ferrari on Thursday night I thought. Great to see the young guns firing as well

Spot on Magic Griffen. It's funny (well, not really) how the Sydney commentators (ie. The Footy Show) go on about how many players the Bulldogs were missing, yet conveniently forget that three of our premiership players are currently injured. I think we really miss The Ferrari too - he has that burst of speed we need. Hopefully the boys ejoy their 8 day break & smash the Broncos on Friday!!

PS: I think I did hear you yelling!!

Bit of a heart stopper for the first 65 minutes last night. We looked very flat in attack & Wests Tigers defence was great. Their ill discipline helped give us double the amount of penalties which certainly helped. Adam Blair is still a dirty player, I didn't like him much when he played at Storm either. Glad to leave with the win, I think the Rabbitohs will be tough to beat on Saturday night. Although we seem to look fresher after a 5 day break than a 10 day break.

As a neutral supporter I really enjoyed last night's game. Living in the Balmain area in Sydney I have a soft spot for the Tigers and I also really like the Storm. When it comes to the crunch the Storm really can turn it on - it is great to watch.

There was an article in one of the Sydney paper's on the weekend which had the top 50 players - Smith was no. 1; followed by Slater - think Cronk came in at 5 (can't remember exactly). I think it was only Thurston and Inglis who separated them. Pretty much spot on IMHO.

Next week should be a cracking game between Souths and Melbourne. Could well be a prelude to the GF (with only Manly and maybe Easts being the only other contenders).

Good, tough win last night against the Warriors. No matter how well Storm are travelling & how badly the Warrriors are travelling, it is always a tough match. The Warriors seem to go up another level playing against us. The record crowd of over 25,000 was really good to see too. I would like to know what the actual capacity of AAMI Park is. I thought it was 31,000 but there is no way another 6,000 people could have fit in last night. So that's 15 wins in a row, hopefully it continues (until State of Origin stuffs it all up).

From the AAMI Park Website: capacity is 30050.
