    MLB Post season

Thought Anfo would beat me to the punch .
Detroit defeating the Oakland A's now sets up an ALCS against the Boston Redsox.
The NLCS sets up with the St Louis Cardinals ( yuk) against the big spending LA Dodgers( don't like them either )
Dodgers have been outstanding after a shaky start ( they were bottom in June)
    Cardinals are always there.
Boston have comeback well after some poor seasons and the Tigers have lights out starting pitching.Boston are a tough scrappy team of veterans

You beat me Remi. Didn't get to see the game until after work so thats the reason for a delay.

What a pitching performance by Verlander!!! With apple tv been able to watch every tigers game so its been great. Offence has been a worry but pitching has been huge. Tigers pitching totalled 57 punch outs in the series setting a new record. Was an exciting series & very relieved to get over the A's.

Now on to Boston who have had a terrific year & have some awesome players. Like you said Remi they are tough team who love a scrape so this will be extremely tough. Pitching is going to be the difference & i think we have the upper hand in starting pitching. They have tough offence, a lot of power & speed. Big Papi thrives in the post season & the Destroia just typifies what the Red Sox are all about.

Can't wait till Sunday for game 1. Have you caught any post season games Remi?

Out of the 4 teams left I'd like to see the Tigers win it.
Not a fan of the Red Sox ( cap's become a fashion statement, like the Yanks )
Amazing to think the A's can make the post season with the 4 starters on a salary of just over 5 million.
Colon takes 4 mil of that. Anyone who puts the term "Moneyball" and the Swans are talking through their arse. Cabrera's injury is a big issue for the Tigers , they'll just pitch away continually.
Got a few Cub mates who detest the Cards so I'll be hoping the Dodgers win.
I'll tape and watch the ALCS and NLCS series.
Pretty shattered Matt Harvey's out next season from a met Perspective

Catch bits and pieces of games during the regular season, but always watch Baseball tonight.
The Americans are outstanding at broadcasting sport and it comes to the fore in post season sport.

As a fan of none of the teams left I was sorry to lose the Pirates and A's as they were the 2 teams with a real "underdog" status and were the most interesting stories. Leaves me with nobody I really care to see win it. I'll be putting most of my energy into the Dodgers due to my hatred of the Cardinals, plus Clayton Kershaw is amazing.
Both series are pretty even. Red Sox with an advantage due to a better offence, in the AL. Cardinals with an advantage in the NL, cos they're a monster who won't die.

I really wanted the A's to get through but while they are often competitive it's a struggle for them.

I thought when Albert left they'd struggle.
Look to have a great farm system.

My Indians came home like a train and then Imploded in the first game so I no longer care.Next year hopefully we can continue on our late season form.

Nice start to the series, a 13 inning game.

Indians had a great year when expected to struggle.
Terry Francona is doing a great job, but unfortunately they were owned by their division rivals the Tigers. They also have to contend with an expected surgent Kansas City Royals.

They also had the benefit of playing the Twins who were bad and the White Sox who were awful, so it's swings and roundabouts. I also wouldn't say they were expected to struggle. They signed vets like Bourn and Swisher on top of a reasonably strong lineup so they were always likely to be a middle tier team at least. The pitching was always the question and probably played above expectations. They also went 9-0 against bad teams to finish the season and make the playoff game. Good team with a little luck equals a good season I guess.

I thought the pitching was our standout didn't get too many games on foxtell until late in the year think we can improve again next year need a bit more out of our sarting lineup though.

True they had a soft run in but, expectations of most was they wouldn't play post season.
