    What a disaster:

Victoria lost 6-9 in the worst ever start to a Sheffield Shield innings, before succumbing to a humiliating defeat against NSW on day three of their clash at the SCG.
The Bushrangers limped their way past 27, the lowest total in the history of Australian domestic first-class cricket, but still crashed to a innings and 48-run loss - despite Glenn Maxwell smashing a stunning 89-ball hundred.
Last-placed Victoria have some serious soul-searching ahead of them after being bowled out in their second innings for just 186 in just 51.4 overs.

Maxwell was fantastic with 2 great batting performances and he even chipped in with a wicket.

His 2nd innings he scored 127 of 186 with only Christian and 'extras' getting to double figures. Both Vic openers failed in both innings.

He was one positive. The big question us can Nehru be considered in a future test team.

What a crazy round, Queensland have just chased down 470 after being bundled out for 130 in their first innings to beat South Australia. It was on the back of a Khawaja 182*, I caught most of the innings on the CA stream and he looked magnificent, one of the best knocks I've seen at this level

Khawaja has the ability to be a top liner, he needs to apply himself better at fielding as well as batting.
Embarrassing from Victoria! Surely it's time to blood some youth!'

Big day and a half at Bellerieve for (former) Victorian/Williamstown-er Evan Gulbis.
229 with the bat (batting at 8) and 3 overs 1 for 1, early in SA's second innings.

Sounds like a Boy's Own Annual, but he scored more in 1 knock than his previous total in 10 or 11 1st class games.

Also finished off with the last 3 wickets giving him 4/7 with the ball.

Strange story, went down to Tassie as a batsman, makes his mark as a medium pacer! Never remember him being much of a bowler at district cricket level

He was always had ability with the ball when he was young.. Can remember facing him in the nets at training when he was about 13.. he used to swing it about 18 inches...It was his own ball which had the bias of a lawn bowls ball.

NSW win the Sheffield Shield quite comfortably. Some nice performances from fringe guys though, Henriques hit a ton as did Smith, M. Marsh made a nice 90 odd and Behrendorff looked really solid
