At this rate we will have 500 comfortably tonight with the opportunity to still have a decent bowl, do we declare tonight and have half an hour or grind on into tomorrow?

I'd grind on. It's not just the mental damage, the first 2 tests are pretty close together and we want to wear down their bowlers as much as possible. Their depth is pretty ordinary and we've seen what can happen when your key bowlers have to bowl a lot of overs.

I agree with Greystasche, I'd normally like to have 5 overs at them but unless the weather Gods are indicating some problems, there is a series benefit for burying them.

We can't do anything stupid between now and the end of this session and give them back some momentum.

God this is fun, the wheels are faling off. Id want half an hour tonight to rattle them, they look on the verge of falling off the edge, a wicket or two tonight and that room would be a quiet one tonight. The way these two are going at it I reckon Clarke wants Harris and Johnson to let loose late tonight

It's looking that way. The pitch looks good though

It's playing a few tricks though. That over Anderson bowled to Warner on 99 was a beauty. If we can string a few of those together just before stumps they could be 2 for overnight and KP has to make 2 starts before he can settle.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

In that pocket of time between West Coast forming and the internet taking off if we beat them I'd go to Macgills in the city to buy thei Perth paper.

Off topic, Warner would be my favorite cricketer if it wasn't for his mouth.

Well said Remi. Needs to grow the mo' a bit longer to cover his mouth. Hate it.

Cricketers have a history of getting ahead of themselves in the media, and bringing ruin upon themselves.
Tony Grieg's ' Grovel ' comment for example. The West Indians went on to dominate Cricket for the next 15 years. Between 1980 and 1995 they didn't lost a singe test. I remember kids at our primary school walking around in West Indian T-shirts!

Can't see that happening, but if I were the English coach, I would be using Warner's comments as ammunition.

                              Shut up Warner!

Not even the West Indians, who absolutely destroyed teams in their hey day, would come out with such petty jibes.
That would be quite the allrounder.
