I think in his mind Warnie batted like Dave.Warne.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Two wickets to win, England would be hoping it rains all day tomorrow.

Wonderful win, intimidatory. This Aussie team has a fair bit more heart than a lot of us thought

Incredible performance by Johnson. I've been a harsh critic but this was one out of the box.

              Yep. Well done Mitch Johnson.

Great work to finish them so quickly in the second innings. England are very good & much better than us at absorbing time at the crease.

I switched off after the first rain delay today, thinking it was going to set in for a while.

Got to the gym and saw it had restarted and they were eight down at that stage and I couldn't believe it. Luckily I switched off again after the second rain delay, missing the win!

Good effort by the Aussies. It will be interesting to see how the Poms bounce back.

Tremendous win . My kids had a dance concert today so I missed the day's action.
Great to see " Good" Mitch turn up, as opposed to " pie thrower" Mitch .
Pace has them worried, and further good news in that some youngsters around the traps are getting amongst the Runs.

Great win and full credit to Haddin and Johnson, two players who have their share of critics but this test both played a major part in our win. As well as his bowling Johnson's batting was also great and that is an added bonus.

Do you mean that they didn't lose a test series in that time (true), because they certainly lost individual test matches.

That's what I read. They certainly drew a few as well. But throw in being a third world economy and it was an amazing feat.

Test series not test matches. They lost plenty of dead rubbers during that 15 year stretch, and usually on raging 'bunsen burners'. Didn't have to be Warnie or Abdul Qadir either - spinners of the ilk Bob Holland ripped through the Windies when they were in party mode in dead rubbers. Hell, even AB with his part-time left-arm orthodox spun them out once in a dead rubber at the SCG, taking 11 wickets for the match. Hirwani, a journeyman Indian leggie, once took 16 wickets against the Windies, in his debut test match no less.

A couple of tweets confirming that Trott has left the tour due to a stress related condition. This is nothing to do with Warners comments.

                                Warners comments were inappropriate.
