If we don't play ODIs in between tests so the players have continuity, why are they playing hit and giggle?

For once I agree with the ch9 com-box, Warner looked confused into T20 for some reason. Muscle memory and reflex is critical, mixing up formats in between tests seems stupid.

      I don't buy into that.

He's played enough test cricket to know what's required to bed an innings down. He needs to be good enough to handle one or two games of 20-20 in between tests and any other distractions if he wants to have an enduring test career.

It's not as if he's come off the plane from playing a 20-20 game the night before and padded up in a test match. He's had over a days play to get his mind into test mode.
      TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

and yet he came out swinging at everything and mistimed about 4 shots before finally being caught for < 10

So do you think it's a lack of maturity on his behalf, or do you think it's a player management issue?

Pressure building and building. This is great test cricket.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Unfortunately the commentary couldn't match the standard.

Putrid performance during a very tense period.

I don't really notice the commentary. I have it turned down pretty low though.

Stick 774 on or ABC Grandstand on digital and mute the telly. You will enjoy it more. The time lag is not that annoying at all (less annoying than Ch9 Comnmentary) and if you miss something on the radio you can look up and see it on TV.

Yeah, was just about to do it. I was caught unawares.

I'm staggered technology that is inconclusive can overturn a caught behind decision, but can't overturn a LBW decision.

                          It's a farce.

Bailey isn't a grinder. He isn't a test bat either.

Agreed. We need to look at Maddinson at the number 6 spot.

Watson and Bailey are sensational ODI players.
