I expect us to come crashing back to reality against the South Africans next month. If they have us 5 or 6 down for 100 they wont let us off the hook unlike the Poms.
To an extent. If you have a top drawer bowling line-up, they can keep you in most games, and our bowling stocks look to be in rude health with Cummins, Starc, Bird, Coulter-Nile and Pattinson all waiting in the wings. The Windies were a very ordinary batting combination (excluding Lara) throughout most of the 90's but were able to maintain a high test ranking basically due to Ambrose and Walsh (and Bishop when he could get on the park) ripping through most teams. Our batting has some concerns, but the quality and depth of our bowling should keep us in most matches over the next few years.

I'm with Boycott on this as well. The batting has been brittle, fielding terrible, leadership non-existant. The bowlers tried hard but the skipper let them down badly.
