Is it wrong for me to be seriously excited about the prospect of Mohammad Amir returning? He was the best young prospect in world cricket a few years ago, I haven't seen a more exciting 19 year old, and that includes Pat Cummins

In his last 4 first-class matches in Pakistan, he's taken 34 wickets!

        Amir's an incredible talent .
It's a wonderful effort with a country in such turmoil, and just shows the talent they have .
They're also a very humble bunch, unlike their sense of self entitlement, spoilt neighbour

Between him and Yousuf Youhana (Mohammed Yousuf) they have produced two of the most wonderful batsmen of the modern era. A joy to watch.

Pakistan incredibly are now the #2 ranked test playing nation in world cricket after knocking over the Poms today. Yasir Shah now has 76 test wickets in 12 matches, and would not even be playing if Saeed Ajmal wasn't cited for chucking last year. His ball to dismiss Patel in the 1st innings was almost identical to Warney's ball of the century - Patel is even as fat as Gatting

They are practically identical. Warne's spins a bit more is all.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Warne spins a fair bit more and drifts to leg a fair bit more. Actually Warne's does both of those things a fair bit more. Still, cracking delivery wasted on Patel but you can only bowl to who is in front of you.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

I actually reckon Yasir's drift from off to leg is right up there with Warnie. Agree that Warnie ripped it more, and he had more quality variations - especially his flipper. But Yasir's stock leggie is as close to Warnie's at his peak as anyone in the last 20 years. Yasir also has great control - hardly bowls a bad ball, which of course was a great feature of Warnie's career.

It's movement through the air that does good batsmen.

Pakistan are now the #1 ranked test team in the world - amazing effort considering they haven't played a home test for almost 10 years. Really looking forward to seeing how they go in Australia this summer.

Gee we've been soft of recent times so this should be a decent contest this summer.

Seriously well done to Pakistan, to do what they have with no tests at home is phenomenal.

Yasir Shah has just taken his 100th test wicket in only his 17th test. He is the most watchable bowler in world cricket since Warney - can't wait to see how he fares in Australia this summer.

Yep. Really looking forward to seeing him bowl. Tipping he will be sensational. Iforesee lots of stumpeds and LBWs and confused looking batsmen.
