.. when games are played on the sub-continent.

Shocking effort over-night.. Hopefully Watson & Bailey are the causalities.

That would be England, although we aren't much better.

Just on England, how does Jade Dernbach continue to get a free pass in their T20 team? He is the quintessential English pie chucker (except for the fact that he isn't actually English). Always goes for 10+ runs per over - just a complete lemming.

While we're on shithouse cricketers, Dwayne Smith from the Windies is absolutely appalling. It's like they have a nightwatchman open the innings with Gayle.

The women win their third title in a row, showing the lads how it's done

I'm guessing here, but I don't think people realise how good these ladies are with technical skill or as athletes. Outside of perhaps out and out quick bowling, there's more than a fair bit to like. Lanning's ton is most impressive. There should be some opportunity for cross over, perhaps an annual charity game or something. I still remember Zoe Goss getting Brian Lara out in one of those sorts of games (caught behind and stumped).

There was some talk of Ellyse Perry playing in the Prime Ministers XI game last year. I think it was Brett Lee who objected pretty fiercely sighting safety issues. Not discounting the talent of the girls but they would be facing bowling 30kph quicker than anything they've faced in a game before, it could be genuinely dangerous.

I would love to see exposure for the women's game in its own right, which is definitely happening in this country at least, female cricketers are starting to become household names. The Olympics does it beautifully, women's sport is just as watched and highly anticipated as the mens. Correct me if I'm wrong but mixed doubles tennis is probably the only sport that has made some form of cross-over successful.

Modest total by India. I don't bet often at all but I put a 20$ on the lankans before the tournament started.
