I'm interested to know because I wonder if it is an indicator toward the sort of resources we should be committing to our new coach? They had a similar off season to us where they lost more player payments than they bought in so I'm wondering how the new manger went about strategising for tat situation and managed to form the new players into a cohesive team so quickly.

We could do well to look into how Southampton turned around a similar situation we are in so quickly and successfully onfield and see if there are lessons we could learn.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

This started off as a good idea, if the discussions don't swing around to more Bulldogs or AFL based I will move it to the World Sports board.

FWIW I'm still glass half empty for 2015. I don't think we'll open up like your soccer team, I think we'll struggle and be worse in terms of W/L than we were this season. I'm excited what comes after 2015. The road back to the top is a lot of fun.
I was likewise, but that all turned around with the way we went after Boyd. Even before we got him, just the fact that we were willing to take a risk and be bold. Got me.

Yeah started to loose me with reference to the round ball game because it's game I haven't care about since the late 80's. So I have know idea what people are on about.

I guess the issue for us is how quickly the young up and coming talent can reach a point of being competitive through the whole game.

Potentially we have real top end talent

            Marcus Bontempelli
            Jake Stringer
            Jackson Macrae
            Tom Liberatore

all look like the have the makings of real A graders

Then we add Tom Boyd, who may take time.

We also have at least B grade talent
            Dahlhaus
            Hunter
            Wallis
            Hrovat

We also have others who should be at least good foot soldiers.
I cannot recall us having as much young talent at one time.

              Back on topic.

I can say I am really "BOYD" with enthusiasm for the future.

We have hardnuts like "Liberatore" to give the opposition the "Roughead" while we "Grant" some licence to Jack and Jake to "Stringer" them along on a "Cordy". We have the chance of a "Bontempelli" season as we gather around the "Honeychurch".
