    good question bulldogsthru&thru -

Started following QPR after watching them play in the 1982 FA cup final and liked their colours and strip and also that no one else I knew supported them.

Feyenoord - again liked their strip but also my favourite footballer of all time played for them Willem van Hanegem.

      Interesting.
So a superstar player is useful.
      Also appealing colours.

So we are halfway... Maybe three quarters of the way there? IF Tommy Boyd works out. Illustrates again just how important he may be for us, as a club as well as a team.

Oh man that made me laugh. Thanks guys.

When I was 11 I went with my Dad, Uncle and Cousin to the Maltese Club in Carlton to watch the 1995 FA Cup final between Everton and Arsenal. My Uncle and cousin were mad-cap Man U supporters and my cousin told me to keep looking for a guy named 'Giggs'. In spite of the fact that Everton prevailed 1-0 thanks to a first half goal from Paul Rideout, I became a Man U fan that night.

One of my fondest sporting memories is getting up early to watch the 1999 UEFA Champions League Final. I can remember the early Mario Basler goal, nervously watching the clock tick over in the second half, and jumping around the loungeroom when Sheringham scored in injury time, thinking to myself, "Brilliant, we'll get them in extra time". Then up steps Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 2 minutes later to complete one of the most amazing sporting finishes I can remember. I was ecstatic.

My 2 sons play basketball on Saturday's and the amount of kids you see playing basketball at the stadiums is amazing.
How they can run the NBL this poorly, with so much junior participation in Basketball is a disgrace....

Agreed. Add to that the fact that there are HEAPS of NBA fans. And i mean HEAPS. The A-League got it right but the NBL hasnt and has gone backward. I still cant understand the decision to remove the Melbourne Tigers and call them Melbourne United! This isn't soccer!!! With Lebron James and a record number of Aussies in the NBA there is massive opportunity to make it work and i think they have missed it

This logic is why they killed the Tigers, obviously hasn't worked for you
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

When you think about what sort of crowds basketball used to get in this country, through the glory days when you had Lanard Copeland and Andrew Gaze smashing all before them through the 90s, its actually really sad to see what has become of the NBL.

They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Some of the old NSL teams: Preston Makedonia, South Melbourne Hellas, Melb. Knights, Marconi, Northern Spirit just to name a few. Gee that was a long time ago now. Quite a few of the old NSL teams play in the Victorian Premier League now.

Yep basketball was a major event back for us back in the day. Used to love going to the glasshouse to watch the Giants, D-Mac was an all time fave.
