    1st Test v India - Adelaide Oval

    Clarke set to play.

Australia 1 Chris Rogers, 2 David Warner, 3 Shane Watson, 4 Michael Clarke (capt), 5 Steven Smith, 6 Mitchell Marsh, 7 Brad Haddin (wk), 8 Mitchell Johnson, 9 Ryan Harris, 10 Peter Siddle, 11 Nathan Lyon.

The absence of Dhoni means Wriddiman Saha will keep wickets and Kohli will captain India for the first time in a Test. It also appears unlikely that Bhuvneshwar Kumar will play due to an ankle injury, which would leave Ishant Sharma, Varun Aaron and Mohammed Shami as the probable pace attack.

    India
(probable) 1 M Vijay, 2 Shikhar Dhawan, 3 Cheteshwar Pujara, 4 Virat Kohli (capt), 5 Ajinkya Rahane, 6 Rohit Sharma, 7 Wriddiman Saha (wk), 8 R Ashwin, 9 Varun Aaron, 10 Ishant Sharma, 11 Mohammad Shami.

Warner has looked imperious, there's no better opener in world cricket at the moment. 2/109, Warner is 75*, Clarke 8*

Great effort so far from the Aussies.

Just mention that in his last 10 test match innings he has scored 5 tons and 3 fifties.
                Brilliant effort

Great knock from Warner, but really he hadthe chance to bat India out of the game.
The last piece of his batting puzzle has to be to fill his boots and get a double hundred .

Good day for the Aussies but it could have been much better. I know we needed the captain but if he can't play again it's been a poor decision. The nightwatchman wasn't a good move and Watson didn't put enough value on his wicket.

You couldn't get money on Haddin getting a duck there. There's no player better at failing at an important moment in the history of the game than Haddin.

After taking a night watchman too, 6 overs....

Im still trying to understand what the hell happened in that Ashes series. I had to actually praise this guy for 5 weeks. Normal service seems to have resumed with him.

Yes, I am with you. Haven't been a fan but hate my words during the Ashes. Time to unearth a younger keeper who can also bat.
