Harris looks to be at his probing best though
Johnno needs to get his head in the game and off the Hughes incident. They all need to realize they are at greater risk of being killed or seriously injured driving to the ground, then they are on the field. It was a freak accident!

I know it's still so raw, but a month ago he would have given it to Kohli after popping one on his badge, now he is horrified. It's not ideal, and if was worried about it he should not have played.

Warner's calendar year has been as good as any I've ever seen.

Centuries in both innings of a Test twice, 6 centuries, and over 1000 runs in only 7 Test matches.

Great innings from Marsh, very handy contribution.

Very talented boy, I've been just as impressed with his contributions with the ball in the first innings.

And they are in far more danger of being hurt while they are playing if their mind is somewhere else.

Pretty impressive figures. Especially for an opener.

5 of his seven tests have been overseas as well. Very impressive performances.

You're right, it's still very raw and the fact that one of their mates was killed going about things as he normally would with the reckless abandon you want them to pursue probably says a bit about why some players may have an issue with carrying on as normal.

If it was a high serious impact injury sport - like MMA or AFL - then you could be excused for assuming a bit of a touch up shouldn't have a big impact on those playing. But if it's a low impact injury sport - like cricket - and someone is killed playing it (and he was killed on the pitch) then I'm sure you can excuse some trepidation towards going about things as if it's just another day.

Sorry, that sounds like it's a crack at you mate - that wasn't the intention.

All good. I can understand your point, I'm not trying to sound like a heartless bastard. The adage of time healing all wounds will come to play a bit, I just don't think you can play the game as effectively if you have lingering doubts about hurting someone.

Several plum lbws not paid. I could've sworn only Aleem Dar was the only umpire to not give obvious Aussie wickets. Erasmus moving into that category. Seriously, back foot, no shot, under the knee roll, in front of Middle (hitting middle 4/5ths up). I think that's the exact reason for DRS. Howler.

                        Lyon looks unplayable.

To be fair it evens out the bad umpiring decisions to one all for this innings. There's no way Dwahan hit the ball he was given out to.

I know what you're saying, but two wrongs don't make it right. What has annoyed is the open dissent of Indians batting and bowling when they detest the decision. If they don't want to feel like victims of injustice then get their overlords at allow a review system. I mean seriously, what if the BCCI say they don't want 3rd umpire for run outs or no balls as well. I don't often agree with Warne, but it should be all in or none in with DRS.

More positivity, Lyon looks like he's raised his game a level.

If the batsmen is not offering a shot, that should revoke the benefit of doubt he receives.

The one Vijay played back to and offerred no shot was just a horrible decision. Atleast 3 others were 50/50 calls which should go in favour of the bowler when no shot is offered.

Interesting final session coming up. India thinking of the win may open up the door for us. Can see the last 5 wickets falling quickly.

Siddle looks shot. Has served the country well over the years but its time for someone who actually looks threatening. Hazlewood.
