He's not there for his catching ability. Two disgraceful efforts so far!

Tough day so far, really flat deck with enough pace in it to make the scoring rate pretty quick. We didn't make enough use of the new ball early which was swinging fairly well. Hazlewood and Watson have been the pick of the bowlers thus far, Josh has been brilliant while Shane has hit the best areas of anyone and has been underused by Smith.

Currently 3/240 with a fair bit of time left in the day

Winning the toss was always going to be crucial in this test. India set to make a big score with plenty of good batting left to come.

I wonder whether the change in schedule had much to do with the pitch? Has more pace than Adelaide but I wouldn't call it a fast pitch by any means especially by Gabba standards, no real grass which you'd expect on day 1 either. It should quicken up but unless it begins to crack or someone produces a great spell of swing bowling I can't see either side taking 20 wickets.

With injuries mounting to the bowlers, I will take a draw now.

Starc won't be playing in the Baggy Green for a long time based on this dross

That's 4 wickets for Josh now. Could Josh get a 5fa on debut. He looks the goods.

Hate to brag but boy do we have a good one here, there's a reason he's been touted the best of the Pattinson, Cummins, Starc generation.

I can't remember an innings where the first 8 wickets to fall were all caught by the keeper or in the slips. 6 catches is a fair effort by Haddin.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
