Said the same thing to Mrs Maddog. Back him in for five for in the second innings.

Brilliant century from Smith. He's been the backbone of the innings when it quite easily could have collapsed leaving us a huge deficit. His development in the past year has been extraordinary.

I think Warners stats have dominated media attention, but Smiths last 12-18 months has been excellent too. I think the media might be pushing his form even harder now. What an achievement.

Clearly the Captaincy is weighing him down at his age.

He stepped up to the number 4 slot and Captain. Apparently Haddin said to the selectors that Smith should be captain as they should think about the longer term.

324 runs in the series so far without being dismissed!

Most international teams are 6 out all out - that is why Australia and Sth Africa in particular are generally a cut above the rest of the nations in world cricket.

In fact our first 6 are often the easier wickets to take.

Could also be that the Indians have been rubbish in the field all day and are now paying no respect to the tail.

Loved how they tried and failed to get stuck into Johnson.

In all fairness to the man Watson has bowled beautifully this test, he's into another very good spell at the moment. He's our smartest bowler at the moment, kind of like a 20kph slower version of Harris.

Johnno has awoken! He's dismissed Kohli, Rahane and Rohit in 2 overs and is all over them. This is a match winning spell

Really tempting fate with the no-balls though

He is an excellent change bowler but in this side he is very much a top order batting all-rounder who isn't putting enough value on his wicket. The frustrating part is that he is getting himself out more than great deliveries from the opposition do. With Clarke out of the side we need him to really tighten up. Natural game or not, that is what he needs to do.
