If we get our skates on in the last session, we'd ideally set them around 350 and give them enough of a sniff to go after the win. Similar to the first test.

I've just got home from work and read a couple of tweets about how soft the dismissal Burns had. That would make it two from two.

Did Watson get himself out or was it good bowling?

I read that Rogers batted well and it was a good delivery that got him

Burns was disappointing, played when he shouldn't have and it was very much a nothing shot. I'm willing to write it off as first test nerves, lets see how he goes in Sydney

From the little I have seen today Marsh has been solid and really is trying to keep his wicket. We need a good score from him.

I actually think its time to put the foot down. Try and get to 330 lead quickly.

Second the motion. Let Marsh stay knocking it and have the bowlers step it up. 350 by stumps.

Marsh really does have all the shots, so very similar to Damien Martyn... you just wish he could put it all together.

They have to chase a score, I wouldn't be declaring before I had 350 lead. There is extra time tomorrow and the weather will be good so we need to make it hard for them. They will fancy their chances in Sydney

I'd look to bat on tomorrow and get another 30 plus runs. I think it's starts and 10.06am tomorrow so they are too good of a batting side to give them too much help.

Pitch is way too good not to, there's a little bit of spin but not much other assistance to bowlers. I'd still be nervous with 350, I wouldn't mind batting for an extra hour, giving them 380 and cementing the series before we think about getting the win.

Thats not really the Australian way though is it. Then again if India have no chance of winning they simply cannot defend for half a day and will probably go all out for 70

Yep, 350 would be sporting. 370 plus would be better

Runs aren't as important as time Easty. Smith would want to give the bowlers most of the day to India out so the real question isn't how it the lead shoud be but much playing time is left.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

The extra half hour of play in the first session is to our favour if we can hold on to our wickets. Getting to a lead of 380 with 45-60 minutes left in the first session would be a good result.

We'll need a fair chunk of time to bowl at them considering the form of their top order and the fact the wicket isn't going to give us much.
                              TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

India chasing the series works into our advantage whichever way you look at it. After all the talk of being aggressive I still think they'd have a crack at 380 off 85 off overs to save face no matter how unrealistic it is. They'd have to go hard from the beginning, Smith can set some attacking fields, we grab a few early wickets and the cat is among the pigeons who more than likely will go down swinging.
