Wondered what (today's) segment was about as I only heard snippets. I really enjoyed his football commentary and he will be sorely missed.

Disappointing Drew is been given the flick.
Grew up with him on " The Winners" in Perth which kept us Victorians sane

It was a retrospective on Drew's career looking back on his cricket, football and horse racing commentary/hosting highlights. Some banter with Kerry o' Keefe, interviews with racing identities after races and that sort of thing. They finished with a couple of toasts from Mark Mclure and Russell Morris*-he and Drew have known each other since they were kids. It was very good.


Interestingly Russell Morris (the singer) was a good enough country footballer to be invited down to do a preseason with Footscray. He was faced with a choice between football and music. As a friend of mine once said "he made the right choice"

Well, now I want to crawl into a hole....... My post requesting information was only there because of WTLF's double post.
