I think Pask was Lakes manager and the way he handled his departure didn't indicate he was in the business of giving us any favours.

Surely he's taking the piss. Since his first year his form has been indifferent at best.

I wouldn't be working too hard to retain him at that rate if I was Brisbane.

FMD what is wrong with these people? I understand greed as well as anybody but this is just getting silly. Lewis Taylor is an ordinary footballer and if he thinks this is anyway to repay the faith that Brisbane have shown in him then he is just as ordinary a human being. I hope we give him a wide berth or tell him where he can stick his 500k

Problem is that a team such as Brisbane is paying close to 100% of the salary cap comparable or just under what some of the top 8 Clubs are paying. Yet their players are inferior.

Robbo said as much as this and showed how his stats and output aren't anywhere near decent enough for anything remotely close to the demanding price.

Richmond had a similar position 2 or 3 years ago with a certain player demanding something in the order of $500K and deciding to test the market.

Even though he is an infinitely better player than Little Lewie, Dustin Martin still had to go back and accept the original offer (or less).

With the rise coming in the new rights deal 500 grand probably won't be that much. I mean it's a lot of money in the real world but footy has gone insane and seems to be playing with Monopoly money.

Lewis Taylor actually kind of sucks and I wouldn't be paying him period to play footy, let alone $500k.
