Maybe lots of number one draft picks but too many individuals that don't play like a team. PLus too scared to put their bodies on the line for the good of the team.

Apart from rance, Martin and cotchin, and brilliant deft touches from Rioli , no-one really stands out . Very even and full team contribution . Loved their tackling , especially seeing the plastics get crunched . Afl highlights real has a good video on the tackling efforts. It was similar pressure to ours last year

        Re: 2017 AFL Finals

I've always said GWS players have never had to work for anything their football lives. They never had to struggle to get or stay on a list. They never had to do whatever it takes to keep their place in the team because the coach "asked" them to do something. They have spooked and indulged in a football sense their entire lives. All those high end draft picks think of themselves when the game gets really hot.

At various times in last year's finals it was players like Morris, Boyd, JJ and Picken who'd fought their way all their careers that were the difference for us. GWS don't have players like them.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
