    Re: MRO Thread

I can understand how Daniel is charged and suspended for 1 week.

What I do not understand is how Harbrow isn't at least cited for this bump on Gibbons.

More of an In Bruges guy?

            Re: MRO Thread

I think given the injuries we've seen so far this year, we can give a tick to the injury sub.

Hawkins should have been cited but the way the article of AFL.com.au is written it's not even being speculated on.

Disagree. Hawkins has been the king of the "accidentally flailing arm" strike for years. He either should have been rubbed out for it every single time, or he shouldn't be cited for it.

I think you see where I'm going.

It's a significant injury received by May.

The media darlings have again escaped scrutiny

                  Re: MRO Thread

Nothing in the Hawkins incident. Hawkins handballed and May pulling him back by the jumper actually caused the contact. Just an unfortunate footy incident. Judge the event, not the player involved.

I don't like Hawkins, but I saw nothing in it.

Haven't players been cited for careless behavior. I don't see any malice in it but it was careless.

Hawkins one was a freak accident. Do we really want him to be in trouble for it?

The only careless act was by May, who pulled Hawkins down.

If putting your arm for balance becomes a reportable offence, we will need to resort to time trials and kicking drills to decide games.

Different argument. Not at all relevant to the May Hawkins incident.
