I went to the game at Casey on Saturday, found myself wanting Melbourne to win it, which was a strange experience given what that club has put me through over the last few years. But I cheered them on the basis that if Melbourne won, it would mean round 1 was us getting beat by a good team, whereas if the Saints won, then we'd look a lot worse.
But I reckon the side that really came out of that game looking bad was Adelaide - if those Saints are the same team that beat them last week, on top of losing both their practice games... if they hadn't beaten Geelong there'd be a lot of unpleasant questions being asked about now.
Shame we have to wait until Round 10 for Melbourne to face Sydney, and then the Lions the next week - those will be very interesting games!
