Frustrating watch our Women's program just struggle to put it all back together time after time. Dealt a bad hand, but can't keep bemoaning that, where the wins going to come from?

15.38 so far this year with no player kicking more than two goals is simply diabolical.

We've invested picks 1, 6 and 8 in forwards in the last two drafts so the club is well aware of the issue.

Stephenson, Mckee, Farquharson and Gavalas have also been traded in as forwards with little impact.

Weston-Turner must get a game now or there's something seriously wrong.

Maybe Johnno needs to spend some time with the team on their goal kicking. Our men this year have definitely improved on that front.

When these players were picked the salary wasn’t enough for players to survive all year especially if you were an interstate player .
But they upped the salary that it’s now enough to be an annual wage so players looked at new clubs to get it .
We have seen articles by our last coach how we were discriminated against to get new clubs in .
        it was criminal.

Their goal kicking i agree is bad, and was especially bad against GWS, but it's been the poor ball movement and decision making that has frustrated me this year.

This is what i continually see:
          - Slow to move the ball from mark or free kick, resulting in no options up field
          - kicking to short options that are not free or in a worse position causing turnovers
          - Poor field kicking and technique by most of the squad. Even the good kickers are turning it over regularly
          - Cannot or will not switch play to open space, they will always go slow down the same side to congestion and are always under pressure

We have one player that looks a chance to mark a contested ball and that is our ruck, and apart from Fitzgerald and usually Pritchard, the
whole team butcher the ball in so many ways around the ground. The style of play they are trying to enforce this year is clearly not working with
the squad we have as they have gone backwards.

AFLW is an arms race at the moment. Good clubs are drafting players that can kick the ball and have developed well in juniors. More and more girls
are coming through the system now with natural talent but we seem to always go for those that have enthusiasm, can tackle and have a crack but ultimately
          can't kick.

Losing to a winless GWS without their 2 best players is not acceptable.

Am I the only one on this thread that's not feeling too concerned?

I mean, yeah the scoring accuracy is shocking, but outside of that we're doing a lot right.
If we score 2.3 instead of 1.4, that's enough to beat Hawthorn, and 8.6 instead of 3.11 knocks down the Giants too - then we'd have three wins and we'd be talked about for finals, just from an average amount of accuracy and the scoring shots we're already generating. We were in with a good chance at the Carlton game too until half way through the last quarter, and they're third on the ladder now. Compared to last year, when our bad days would see us not even break double digits, I reckon we're looking ok. Still a lot of work to do, but we knew that at the start of the season.

Although I really ought to apologise - every time I go to a game interstate, we lose (the pre-season game in Perth being a partial exception ). I went to Canberra, so definitely my fault we lost.

Zimmie's been out with injury most (all?) of this season, and if I'm remembering right a fair chunk of last year too?
Westo also had issues with concussion at the start of the season, no idea if that's still an issue or not, but if it is that would explain her absence from the lineup (well, that and pre-season they had her playing midfield, although at this point I'd move the magnet regardless).

One of the biggest issues is the lack of games in the AFLW. Lose a couple of games and bang your seasons gone and it is hard to get back.

Farquharson has been listed as injured this season but last season was only selected for two matches and from memory she was not on the injury list for much of it. Was dropped actually after those two matches:

The Bulldogs have made two changes for Thursday night's clash against the Blues.

Weston-Turner was concussed prior to the start of this season but hasn't been listed as unavailable since the season started. She's been selected on the extended bench this round so hopefully she gets a run.

It's been a bit odd that Gorham this year hasn't been selected even as an emergency. She hasn't been listed as injured and seemed to be a pretty solid player in her two previous seasons with us.
