They should ask for it but I really don't think they've done the hard yards yet.
They'll get a pick for Oscar Allen.
They should see if they can get 2 first round picks and a 2 rounder for Harley Reid.

They've had 4 poor years surely waiting another 12 months before requesting assistance is in order.

In fairness, they've had 4 players medically retire in recent times. More than any other club.

I think the North- package (ie early state league access to a couple of players) could be considered.

They'll end up with pick 1 and pick 2 (Oscar Allen compo) this year so no picks should be given.

AS Mofra and others have stated they will get the 1st pick and then pick 2 for Allan , and if they want to rebuild would get 2 or 3 , 1st rounders for Harly Ried , that would give them 5 picks in the 1st round , if the AFL gives them a compensation pick they virtually have as many picks as a new franchise would get , thats a big NO from me .
