The EFC Finals account was created and designed to solely humiliate a rival club. Those who claim it is a ‘harmless’ account are clearly supporters of the 17 other clubs who are not subjected to this daily baiting.

Even when they are getting bullied they can't contain their arrogance and self centeredness.

This is the same club whose supporters repeatedly defended themselves every time we defeated them prior to 2016 with cries of "how many premierships have you won", and I would suggest supporters of a lot of clubs have been the butt of more jokes than the Bombers.

I know social media should never be used as a true measure of what a clubs supporters are like but the reaction to this does not feel particularly out of character for the pathetic Bombers.

It's bait! You don't have to take it, to actually knowingly take it shows you lack the intelligence or willpower not to take it.

I know it's completely lost on them, however, this is basically a call to arms for everyone to quote verbally and loudly at every opportunity the time since Essingdne won a final at any time some of their supporters are around, and make their arrogant and suffering existences worse.

I think that the tweeter himself closed it down after he inadvertently me mentioned his name and the Essendon supporters piled onto his usual account with abuse and even death threats.

Essendon Bombers part way with head of football Dan Richardson

The Bombers have taken the extreme measure of sacking their head of football just days before one of the most crucial trade periods in the club’s history.

Essendon has axed head of football Dan Richardson after three years in the job

Richardson is the first victim in a sweeping review implemented by new president Paul Brasher.

The former TLA player agent joined Essendon after a stint as football boss at Richmond.

He was one of several Tigers figures poached by the Bombers, which also included new senior coach Ben Rutten and senior assistant Blake Caracella.

The Bombers, who have not won a final since 2004, endured another disastrous onfield season and it continued off it with three star players – Joe Daniher, Orazio Fantasia, Adam Saad - all walking out on the club.
