To reduce workload in order to enable players to fit in more games with less rest periods over the season.

Game time needs to be reduced permanently, maybe to 18 mins plus time on.

I hope both measures become permanent.

Disagree. Can live with it for now if they need to pack in more games.Wouldn't be surprised if it became permanent and they tried to extend the season to have even more games

I watched bits and pieces...and I agree I just can’t see how it’s gonna get through this unscathed. Gill himself said that if one player gets it the AFL shuts down for 4 weeks. This talk of going into December is laughable, and after watching parts of the first 2 games, I couldn’t even fathom watching the GF with no crowd.

When government are calling for social distancing, they (AFL) are letting 40+ guys running around a field, tackling everyone in sight. Go figure.

Players wouldn't high five after goals (not that the Bulldogs had to worry about it too much) yet they'd tackle the opposition. Just weird to watch.

As i keep saying in this thread, all the measures by this government are half arsed. People are still at work, schools are still running as is public transport. You can't blame the AFL for playing if everything isn't shut down
