For comparison we only have 10 of our 2016 premiership players still on our list - 7 retirements (5 of them 'early'), 4 trades/FA and one delisting.

I'm not sure of my point, but it's definitely interesting.

It's worth comparing our 2016 and 1954 Premiership teams four years down the track. Now we are down to 10 players left from 2016. From our 1954 Premiers there were only 3 who played on after 1958 - Jim Gallagher and Arthur Edwards (both retired 1960) and EJ who retired in 1970.
