    Re: Geelong

He should be suspended for the rest of the season. At least Bailey Smith owned it and got on the front foot. Stengle, with his old history and as Sam is reporting, recent history, is trying to say his drink was spiked.

If he is not going to own his behaviour. Gone. Surely the AFL step into this clown show and make the club do something.

      They won't.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Should be sacked but that's not the Coastal way, hell they don't even believe concussed players need to be taken from the ground.

Let’s hold back , he might have history but maybe his drink was spiked.

              Ha. Zero chance.

Maybe the drugs he was taking were not exactly what they thought they were. Bad batch.

This doesn't sound like someone smashing a few lines and wanting to have a good time.

I'm less shocked he's not suspended and more surprised someone can be in a 'critical condition' yet somehow ready to play an AFL match in less than a week. Doesn't really seem safe

Stengle was sacked by Adelaide for this sort of behaviour.

If he was out drinking and he consumed voluntarily or someone slipped him some GHB then he could get really ill very quickly, but then recover very quickly.

I'm sure the likes of RoCo, Maher and Caro have demanded Tyson Stengle be sacked immediately and never play footy again, like they did with De Goey

                            Re: Geelong

I hate the Cats almost as much as Essendon but they do have THE player I?d pick over all others in the league to have in our current side.

Tom Stewart is an absolute freak. Could literally play any position and dominate, influences games week in week out. Without him, I reckon Geelong are bottom 8 with a bullet.

They showed some stats on First Crack last night. Moving him from defence to play more midfield has actually improved Cats scoring against because he impacts further up the field but then moves back when required. Incredible player, insanely high IQ with the physical talent to back it up. He seems like a nasty prick to play against too!

Imagine him across half back for us. We?d never lose.

Personally I would pick Jack Ginnivan, driver of culture, but I understand your point.

It would be nice to have Stewart just so he would stop killing us twice a year every year forever.

I admit, seeing him destroy us year in year out has probably coloured my thinking.
