I expect a top 4 finish, even with a few flaws, but every team has them and can patch them up.

In the end luck plays a part, but that is not an excuse.

Not getting one v Richmond or Collingwood hurts but it might not matter as much as usual given anticipated crowd restrictions

Yep would have good to have homes games against them but as you say TBB might not make much of a difference.

I'd prefer winning vs big crowds.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

We've also proven that unlike Geelong etc we don't rely on crowds for money (of course since se still have a shit deal as far as I know) so may as well win what we can. Certainly prefer home games vs interstate teams over traveling.

That late season game v Essendon is becoming a bit of a tradition too. Like how we always seemed to play Carlton in the last round back in the '70s.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

No Dogs games in Sydney. Disgraceful.

I am also disappointed. Cannot believe the AFL would do this to us two years in a row.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

By far the biggest takeaway of the year, big clubs need big crowds to survive. They are completely dependent on favourable stadium deals, prime time slots, and mollycoddling from the AFL.

Sometimes a crisis actually shows the true fundamentals of an industry, unfortunately in the case of the AFL those fundamentals will be swept under the rug.

Considering its a free win so am I.

Although they did give us 22 free wins so hard to complain really.

Great points but I wonder what was behind Sydney's debacle? That was a massive loss
