So are Clarkson and Fagan still under investigation? Or is that the end of it all

The AFL investigation is long over. Inconclusive I believe was the outcome (shocking I know)

For Cyril the money may not mean as much as he had a pretty good period of being a well paid AFL athlete. For the others, it would be hard to turn down that money. I don't know what they're doing now but times are tough all around. As is often the case money tends to make most legal issues go away

So Hawthorn didn't do any racism but also they're offering a settlement and are very sorry according to AFL Media.

As much as I agree with what you are saying, I don't think it is as simple as that. And without being privy to the Court documents or the preceding's minutes I don't think we can say it was all about the money (and I know that's not what you are saying) there could have been a lot of sensitive or cultural information that they dd not want to become public ... there may be more behind an out of court settlement than we will every know.

Logic tells me there should only be 3 possible findings; truth, lies/untrue & unknown/inconclusive.

I presume Hawks used term ?their truth? as some legal smokescreen to reduce risk of saying they?re outright guilty to possibly reduce risk of further litigation against individuals. But sheesh it comes across like a snake oil salesman?s promise of a potion?s efficacy.

It's another way of saying "if somebody has taken offence at what we said then we're sorry" Complete weasel words.
