It's the same voices with virtually the same opinions, and there's far too may of them. When you have twice as many accredited journos reporting on the AFEL than there are players in the entire competition, you've created a bloated beurocracy that any govt would be proud of.

If you dare stray from the prescribed AFEL-approved narrative, you are banished from the game (see Mick Warner)

I love how Novak does a piece for GQ Magazine claiming he was poisoned by Australian Quarantine personnel, knowing full well it's coming out online in Australia in alignment with the AO and in print in February, but declines to comment because he did the article two months ago.

What Jones did was unnecessary and disrespectful. He should have apologised Sunday morning as the broadcast kicked off.

Then it would not have escalated. Absolutely mind blowing that channel nine did not see this taking off like it did.

The guy is a dead set clown and it's unbelievable to me he has any professional gig to be frank.

Maybe the Serbian tennis player didn't realise that he's a clown, as he wouldn't have been offended surely if he knew.

Jones is both an opportunist and a populist
His recent three headline grabbing targets have been Kohli who's never been popular in Australia, Danielle Collins who got offside with the fans and now some childish taunts directed again the Joker and his Serbian fans.
All easy targets for his immature rants because there will be a portion of the audience that will side with him.
Jones needs to learn that there is a difference in being a host of a comedy show like the Sunday footy show and then being the host of a high profile International tennis coverage by this employer
Unfortunately his employer will be happy with the extra attention and ratings it might generate,
Lets hope some of the tennis players continue the boycott.
