That’s big news. She’s Bont like and happens to wear no. 4 too. Guessing likely future captain.

Thank Christ for that. Absolutely massive improvement this year. Stepped up once Ellie went down.

Do you mean Wilcox? She’s a real goer & i love her tenacity & she’s skilful too, as is Griggs.

The Bulldogs forward has been voted in the AFLPA's 22under22 team for the first time in her career.

I didn't know her nickname, maybe that is what josie was referring to also.

Ah - Hartwig!! Nickname makes sense. Sarah had a good year too. Like the improvement in our young ones & that we are re-signing them.

Congrats Roos. Watched fair bit of 2nd & 3rd qtr. Standard high, once rest of comp catches up game will be a lot better to watch and easier to ump (umpiring better from what I saw). Happy for long suffering Roos fans.

Huge achievement from the Kangaroos winning the flag and going undefeated in the season.

                          Great season from the Roos.

4 bulldog premiership players in their side - Kearney, Bruton, Birch, Rennie.

Just checked the scorecard and the Lions kicked no goals after only one in the first quarter (only 2 points in the last three quarters) and both sides combined kicked one point in the third quarter. Was the weather or ground in really bad shape?

Both teams have very good and effective defensive zones for women's football, which can defend the long bomb down the line which most teams use. Brisbane's ball handling was poor (possibly blame the humidity but they're from Queensland...)

I would say it was a fairly typical aflw game - moments of great skill amidst really strong and consistent defensive application.

And that is where the issue lies.

I tried to watch the game.. but as a spectacle and in terms of providing entertainment it was/ is an awful product.

Something needs to change quickly to make the product more appealing than it currently is.
