I think Papley was right to be honest.
Sydney didn’t get sucked in and won the game.
Just a question what will happen to Cloke ?
Runners are supposed to run out give instruction and run off , should be nowhere near the play.
A fine ? A few weeks off ?

That was bizarre and something that should not be encouraged, he should not have been anywhere near that.

Thoroughly fascinating to hear Scott defend Wright as a pure 'ball player' against a backdrop of him goading his charges to play with more of an 'Essendon edge'.

Papley said there was ?no love lost? between the Swans and Bombers and described Essendon coach Brad Scott?s mantra of playing on the edge as a ?facade?.
?They really gave it to us. Brad Scott came out and said they want to have that Essendon edge and Peter Wright took it a bit too far,? Papley told 3AW.
?They were still getting into us. You can be tough and do all that stuff, but you?ve still got to be able to play four quarters.

Honestly a pretty shocking look for Nick Hind here, missed with the attempted elbow but that should have been months off for legitimately throwing an elbow strike if he had hit.
